We will work with the youth to help deepen their understanding of Christ and how we are called to live as Christians. The Youth will participate in activities like the Baptist Training Union where they will participate in activities to grow their scripture memory so that they can recall and apply it in the real world.
It's important for the youth to build and nurture relationships with other youth who are growing in Christ. To do this, the youth will participate in activities such as Kids Youth Church (KYC), lock-ins, and Discipleship Now.
Provide opportunities for the youth to exercise their faith and grow their spiritual confidence by participating and helping lead Kids Youth Church (KYC) and main church service. KYC is held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 10:30am in the portable building.
Youth are invited to participate with the following ministries:
- Music Ministry - Sing on 2nd Sundays; Rehearse on 2nd Saturdays before sing.
- Media Ministry - Every Sunday, regular commitment required according to schedules.
- Liturgical Dance Ministry - Dance on 2nd Sundays; Rehearse on Sundays before dancing.
- Usher & Greeters Ministry - Serve on 2nd Sundays; Meet on 2nd Saturdays before serving.
- Drama Ministry - Act and rehearse during planned productions are scheduled.
- Photography Ministry - Regular commitment required according to schedules.
The Youth will participate in community service activities, such as the MLK Street Clean-Up project and reNEW YOUth Conference, helping to showcase the importance of pouring back into the community and having a heart of service.
Evangelism is a key part of what we do as believers. The Youth are encouraged to live the Bible as they are taught - whether at school or at play. We have discussions on practical ways to do so - talking thru the challenges they face and allowing the youth to share their experiences with one another as a way to support and encourage each other.
