Rev. Robert Pellette, Jr. as Executive Minister, serves as the pastor’s assistant and representative to support and assist the pastor in implementing and executing the pastor’s directives, church mission/vision/strategic plan, and special projects. Primary responsibilities include church administration, managing/supervising operations (i.e., office, financial, technology, facility/grounds management, and ministries), assisting the pastor with reimagining, rebuilding, restructuring, reorganizing, and realigning in response to the COVID-19 and post-COVID eras, serving as chief of staff by leading and supervising the church staff, working with and providing support to the financial secretary, assistant financial secretary, and trustees.
Rev. Pellette joined David Chapel in 1989 and has served in several leadership and ministry positions. He has served as a licensed David Chapel Associate Minister since 2011. Since 2004, he has worked for the City of Austin in various administrative positions, currently working as a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst in the Performance Management Office. Before his City of Austin employment, he worked for Tmanage, Inc., ATT Wireless, CourierWorks, and Farmers Insurance Group of Companies. He is presently the president of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) Central Texas Chapter.
He is a 2003 graduate of Texas State University (B.A., public administration) and a 2023 graduate of Wayland Baptist University (Master of Divinity). He and his wife, Cheryl Lynn Pellette, have been married since 1990, and they have three (3) adult children – Lillian Injera, Ashton Rose, and Robert Michael William.
